HISTORY
Dorrian Construction Limited is the progression of a family business started in Letterkenny by Joe Dorrian Snr.
In the 70’s on his return from work in the construction & fit out business in New York, Joe started building private houses and contract civil engineering work for Donegal County Council in the 70’s & early 80’s and moved on to developing multi-unit housing throughout Donegal & Derry in the 1980’s, & 90’s.
Patrick Dorrian is the founder of Dorrian Construction Ltd. (DCL) having previously worked in his Fathers’ (Joe Snr.) house building company. He began working part-time in this company, while progressing to study Civil Engineering to honours degree level. He then joined his Fathers’ company on a full-time basis in 1991, taking on the role of Project Manager, and managed large scale construction projects throughout the early nineties.
Upon his Fathers retirement in 1997, Patrick Dorrian formed Dorrian Construction Limited and formally registered the company in 1998,
Dorrian Construction Limited (DCL) is a General Building & Civils Contractor established by Patrick Dorrian (BEng Hons Civil Engineering) in 1998. Beginning with local private and commercial projects and progressing to public contracts, site development and large scale commercial works.

DCL is now an established construction company with many years’ construction expertise, combining the strong traditional values of skilled craftsmanship with modern materials, building techniques, and sound business management.
Dorrian Construction Ltd, with its head office based in Letterkenny Co. Donegal, has built a wide and varied portfolio in the construction industry including: Public Buildings, Manufacturing Facilities, Commercial Properties, Mixed Use Developments, Civils & Infrastructure and Residential Developments.
DCL are CIRI Registered and CIF Members and have a strong focus on Quality which is demonstrated through their CPD training methodology. DCL Management and Staff have developed experiential competencies, enhanced with the following qualifications and training, among others;
